About the Exhibition
- 2010 A Space Odyssey - NO BRIEF: ReProcess
- ‘A SPACE ODYSSEY’ is a yearly graduation exhibition organized by BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design students. ‘NO BRIEF: ReProcess’ is the theme of the show this year; it means our dedication to the whole design process, searching for the answers to our own briefs. Throughout this process, we contemplated to the design problems, explored the issues for creative ideas, we failed, and then reprocessed from the very beginning. We believe the new generation designers should not only do what they like, and jump to the conclusions. Creativity should be process with careful consideration and planning on all the details. We used posters, publications and packaging design etc… to present our concepts. We wish audiences can realize our emphasis on the design process, not only the end results. This exhibition will showcase all design projects by graduates of these two programmes.
‘A SPACE ODYSSEY’ 是由應屆設計課程畢業生舉辦的年度展覽。今年度以「NO BRIEF: ReProcess」為題，喻意為我們對設計過程的一個重要看法。通過選題探討、取材創作、失敗重試、最後重整概念，並不任意隨心創作，而得出今次的畢業展覽。新生代的設計師不單單只為完成目標而盲目創作，創作的背後是一個深思熟慮和用心打造的過程。畢業作用以海報、書籍、包裝等等不同形式展示，希望大眾能藉此體會到我們所強調的設計過程，而不只是偏重成果。是次展覽將會同時展出畢業作以外的其他精彩作品。
